Update on us

So goes our non-busy August. We finished last weekend with a Beers of the World Party at a neighbor's house and then headed to the Annual Family Picnic. Both places where we ate way too much. My kids were exhausted and needed Monday to recoop.
So we have had terrible weather here. i mean I guess not terrible, but for August? it's been like 68 degrees everyday.
I did some more school clothes shopping with Amelia yesterday> She is at such a tough size as she is floating between the toddler girls and the girls sections. Bailey is also kind of at a weird size this year too.
Mia will start her second year in preschool going everyday and Bailey will be in the First Grade. I have the teacher's assignments and the school supply lists and I am ready. I have activities in mind for the first day of school, both the night before and the day of. Hopefully, I can get it all together.
The kids sleep schedules will be adjusted next week in preparation of school. Very exciting!!!!

We made it!

We made it without a tear (by Bailey or myself) and he is currently at school. He didn't even look back as he got on the bus, but luckily his bus driver asked him to turn around for a quick picture. He met a few other kindergartners at the bus stop and was good to go.
Mia was the most distraught and brought tears to Bill's eyes yesterday when she told us she was sad and her reply to why was "Brother, I am really going to miss you." Bailey had a little tear in his eye and Bill almost had to leave the table. It was too much. She'll start school next week, so we'll have to do this one more time.
On another note...
NEXT WEDNESDAY IS THE BIG HOUSE CLOSING!

More updates soon...

"I'm scared."

No one wants to hear that their little boy is scared. But Bailey told me today that he is scared to go to kindergarten. Now, I am on a mad dash to help alleviate his fears about school. Which, I have no idea why he would ever get the feeling that school is someplace to be scared of. We have all his school supplies and will meet his teacher tomorrow. Maybe it is the fear of the unknown? We have been pumping him with information about school and just about everything, so maybe he is afraid because it is a lot of information? Anyone have any book suggestions as I am heading over to Borders today for a first day of school book.
