The end is near for the at home job

So my current at home job is doing a major revamp of it's employees and has decided they no longer want any part timers, so this will make everyone full time. Sure, it would be easy if you could split the shifts and I could work it around my schedule, but I can't. I guess this will be taking place sometime come September. So until I see how this new system will be, I will need to be on the lookout for another little job. Anyone again know of any at home jobs?

Last week of July

You know it;'s the end of summer when the Erie County Fair guide comes in the paper. So we are about to have the last month of summer and then we are back to the cold. We have had a busy weekend so far, but first off ...
Congratulations to Jason and Samantha on your beautiful wedding! (we had a blast!)
We had a crazy Saturday with a birthday party, Mary's Bachelorette Party and then the wedding. Today we are settling down a bit, but have my father's work picnic all day. It's a great picnic with tons of food and lots of things for the kids to do.

And to add to the congratulations...
Congratulations to Bill's sister, Jill and Scott as they are expecting their first child in February.
and Congratulations to Bill's cousin, Laura and Jim who gave birth to their second son on Thursday, Michael.

School Supplies? Already?

I have Bailey's school supply list already and have been cracking down on some of the items. Some of the things are easy to get and some I will wait until a major deal hit with them. Of course, he still needs like a million glue sticks and Walmart was sold out last time I was there. I haven't gotten anything as far as a list is concerned for Mia yet, so I hope I don't get that info too late. I will just start picking up random things I think will be on the list since it will probably not be on sale when I HAVE to get it.
Today is Sunday of another jam packed weekend. Yesterday Bill went golfing with my father and the neighborhood and Bailey had a birthday party. Then we had Bill's friend, Andy's< annual summer party as well as a graduation party that we had to decline. Today is a Family Picnic and then cleaning up the house.
Bill finally got his dream working vacation in the works. That's right, he is going to Vegas. And on the company's bill none the less. Now we will really have a busy September.
Hopefully the rain will hold out for us today as we will be outside for most of it.

what a weekend!

We had our block club party this weekend. For some reason, I felt responsible for this. I think mainly because my name was on everything. My new thing now is to stay out of the whole planning thing. I just want to receive the invite from now on. How easy and less stressful it could have been for myself and my family if I just sit back and went with the flow.
This is not to say it was horrible. Just that I was running around like a mad person. I felt responsible for many things that I had no part of.
We had a crazy day filled with games, bounce house, magicians, music, movies, fire departments. I met a ton of my neighbors and saw the kids having fun. I am sure I will have pictures to post sometime.
I felt like a truck ran over me yesterday and I could use a weeks vacation or an entire body massage. Who would have guessed weekend being busier than week days?

My CVS shopping trip

So, I know I have posted before about my savings, but I thought I would tell everyone how great I did yesterday. We bought : 2 Dawn dish detergents, 1 Febreze Noticeables starter kit, 1 Febreze candle, 1 Colgate Advance Toothpaste, 1 Skintimate Shave Gel, 1 Pack Cascade Dish Washer Tablets.
I would have taken a picture, but I forgot this time around. My total before tax was $32.73. I used a bunch of coupons and I had $12 in ECB (extra care bucks) that were expiring, so I paid $.96 before taxes ($1.74 after tax) and then received $6.50 in ECBs to use on my next purchases. YEAH CVS!

Our busy July!

Well, thank goodness that we made it through the first busy weekend of July. It was the 4th of July, so the kids got to stay up and outside late and watch the fireworks. I didn't mind the wake up at 9am either. My children think that fireworks means sit outside and eat chips and dip. So that is exactly what we did. We did take a ride down to the village to see the parade which we have never seen before. It was really nice and the kids made out with tons of candy.
We had Mia's family birthday party yesterday and she received tons of gifts. Thank you to everyone who helped us with the day. And today we are back to normal. But our list for July includes a wedding, 4 picnics, a graduation party, Mia's other birthday party, Mary's stagette, a birthday party... to top it all off, Bill is out of town twice this month. Can you say busy?????
Thank goodness August looks a little less full.
