Tuesday, June 24, 2008Last day of school!Today's Bailey's last official day of Kindergarten. I cannot believe he will be in 1st grade next year. Where has the time gone? I am so proud of him and all his accomplishments this year... He is so looking forward to summer and I am so looking forward to spending more time with him. It has been an eye opening year of how much kids in school really learn now since I was in school. If Bailey stays on track, he will be a graduate of the class of 2020. Doesn't that sound so far away? Monday, June 23, 2008Job HuntI am on the search for a better job from home (Bill, don't roll your eyes at me). I just thought I would throw it out there in case anyone knows of someone hiring someone from home. I have decided I am not a customer service sales type of person. I think because it involves offering and offering and offering things to people that obviously don't want anything more than what they called for, and who can blame them? Either that or being yelled at for not getting their product there in time... When I quit the law firm, I asked if I could bring my work home with me. I would have LOVED this! I was really just typing letters and doing some research and such. And the only thing wrong there was the hours. Bailey was getting off the bus each day at 4:15 and I had to leave at 5:00. So I literally saw him for 45 minutes a day. This was so hard. So I am on the search again, but I will stick it out here until I find something else... Monday, June 09, 2008The Dance Recital
My little superstar is done with dancing!! And she finished the year with a terrific performance. I was on pins and needles thinking that the instant the curtain rose she would freeze, but she managed to finish the dance perfectly. She definitely does not want to dance next year, at least tap. She says she would love to try ballet. So we shall see. ![]() Tuesday, June 03, 2008The Coupon GameSo I have been obsessed recently with my new found love, coupons... I have been doing a little reading on other people who spend like nothing for a million things and thought, hey I can do that. So last week, we tried a little. I sent Bill to first Walmart and he bought 11 things and paid $3.99, but then I get a $1.88 rebate back. So for about $2.11 I got 11 full sized products. Then I sent him to a local drugstore where he paid around $2 out of pocket for 6 things. My sisters and mother are on board and I think I will propose a little challenge to them and any one else to find super great deals out there. It's so worth it! Labels: coupons |
