House Update

So as of this weekend, half of the siding is up and all the drywall on the inside is up. The next step would be the mudding and sanding of the drywall. We saw 2 men working over the weekend at the 2 houses next door, so maybe someone will be at ours today. I can't foresee it taking still over a month a half, but we'll see. I think Bill updated the photo gallery with pictures.
On another note, school supply shopping has begun. Can someone tell me what one little boy will be doing with 20 glue sticks? Maybe it doesn't seem like a lot now, but multiply that by like 25 kids and that's a heck of a lot of glue sticks.

Now, I have an idea for an invention (which I think is amazing). Anyone have any experience with this stuff? I want to develop it and draw it out, get a patent, or maybe sell the idea to someone else? Any ideas?

I signed up for PPP!

So if anyone that has noticed some minor changes on the website let me explain why, I signed up for this nifty little thing called PayPerPost, where you can get paid to blog. Basically, I get paid for posting about things that I would like to talk about and after they pay a blogger to write a post, they will turn right around and pay another blogger to review the original post.
After reading the information on Bill's friend's blog, I realized that there was money out there for me to earn as well. I am relatively new to the site, but so far I have had a great experience with them and I am earning money from this very post. If you are interested in earning money on your own blog, follow the link. Some basic requirements are that your blog needs to be active for at least 90 days, one author and are current on your own postings.
So as far as the rest of the content, rest assured, it will still contain everything that was of interest to the normal readers, but it will also contain a few new things that I was interested in enough to tell you all about (and would like to earn a little extra cash talking about). Hopefully all of us can learn a little something interesting as we go.

Embarrassing Moment #2

So I made it through that day and the very NEXT day. I was surprised again. Let me set the scene. Bailey is signed up for an art class at the library. It was a hot day, we were swimming before the class. When it was about class time, I jumped out of the pool, through on a quick pair of pants and a quick shirt and ran him literally around the block to the library, Mia in tow. We stood in line with 24 other moms and dads and 24+ kids waiting for the art class doors to open when Mia, who I attribute to losing me for one second, reaches out, grabs my just thrown on- no underwear underneath capris, and pulls them right down. I picked them up as fast as I could and called her name "Amelia, amelia" and without her looking up at me, I grabbed her little chin up towards me and said in a quiet yell "wenever pull mommy's pants down." A quick look around gave me the impression that everyone was looking in my direction. Now the question remains, were they looking at me because I was yelling at my daughter in the library, or were they looking at me becuase they all just saw my ass too seconds before?

Embarrassing moment #1

If anyone has had a more embarrassing me, I beg to differ. My past week was an alost crawl into a hole - red faced fest. #1 started at the doctor's office and little Amelia's 3 year old check up. I take her and Bailey to the appt. When we got there, the doctor asked all the standard questions, and it being Mia's appt, was directing them to her. Probably to hear her speak and everything. Well, Bailey decided it was his time to shine and answered every question about Mia. Then cam the embarrassment. Doc: Amelia, do you sleep in a big girl bed? Mia: No, I sleep on the floor. Bailey (with his 2cents): And I sleep on the floor too, and mom says I can't have a bed until we move. (wonderful, simplay wonderful). Doc: are you a good eater? What did you have for breakfast? Amelia: I had candy bars! (obviuously the doctor didn't find humor in the fact that we call cereal bars candy bars.) Amelia proceeded to tell the doctor that she had no helmet (she has 2) and that she never brushes her teeth becuase she doesn't own a toothbrush. (Did I not just take her the day before to the dentist where she got a brand new one?) I am awaiting the knock on the door for CPS to come knocking.

The House Progress....

We drive by the house many times a week. I assume that is what people do who put a lot of money down and have really nothing to show for it. It is steadily moving along. The house is up, yesterday they were busy puttign in the insulation throughout the house. And I believe this week will be the drywall inside the house. It really looks nice and I looking forward to August to move in.

Coupon Codes

Since we are in the process of building the house, we have been buying a lot of things online and anyone who knows me, knows I love a deal. So whenever I find something I love online, I always search for a coupon code for the store. The site I am currently using is couponchief.com
I have been buying up all of the Sea Life Bathroom accessories on Amazon.com and found some great free shipping deals on the coupon site for Amazon. Currently it is free shipping on orders over $25. Always check before you buy ANYTHING on the web, as there is probably a code there.
