New Year

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. We had a very good one! Bill's family came over on Christmas Eve and then we did my parent's on Christmas Day. The kids got tons of things, clothes, toys, Diego tickets, a zoo membership, an air hockey table, drums and a lot more. Needless to say, we all made out very well this Christmas.
I just took the tree down. Yes, I know it is only 3 days after Christmas, but I really don't like the clutter. I really love Christmas, but with everything being up for almost a month, I wanted my space back.
We have nothing planned for New Years. That is not new since we don't normally do anything. Probably watch a movie and I will most likely be in bed before midnight. But I will start thinking about my resolutions and try to post them so it gives me the incentive to stick to them.
Happy New Year everyone!

5 more days

So we are hitting Christmas crunch time. I still have bits and pieces to buy. The holiday season is never a quiet one in our family. I am not sure how it is in others, but I see tv shows with people sitting around a fireplace and relaxing, hahahaha
My friend, Dickie, who has a brain tumor just got an early christmas present and found out that the tumor has shrunk 2 mm! That is great news. Yeah Dickie!
My friend, Melanie, from Disney (now stationed in Japan while her husband works at Tokyo Disney) has come back into town and I hear that Japan was great for her. I am a little green with envy as I hear she has time to hit the gym and lose a ton of weight. Yeah Mel!!!
We have made no New Years plans. Bill's father is coming into town that weekend, but is leaving New Year's Eve night, so we are probably going to make dinner here and have a "ball drop" for the kiddos around 8pm so they can go to bed at a reasonable hour. Not sure how it is in other houses, but in mine, the later the kids go to bed, the earlier they wake up.
I have ben trying to hit the gym, but the warmth of my bed keeps calling me back in. I really should utilize the babysitting services there and then I would have no excuse. I guess I know a new year's resolution.

12 days...

NYC was really great. We got to see Bill's father's new house in Long Island and take the kids into the city. In one day they rode in a car, a train and horse and buggy and a taxi. We visited all the kid stores like Toysrus, FAO and The World Of Disney. The city was packed and all dressed up for Christmas. And I had a celebrity siting! I walked right by Jon Voight!
Christmas shopping is still only about halfway done, but I am pleased with my savings so far.
We have baking this weekend with my sisters. I had my work Christmas party on Monday and Bill has his on Friday night. Can we pack anymore in?

Christmas is coming and so is a wedding

Finally we will have another Lisnerski wedding. Perhaps this means a trip back to Maui? Congratulations to Jill and Scott on their recent engagement. The ring is beautiful! Looking forward to a wonderful wedding and possibly new nieces or nephews...
Bill's Wii came here yesterday, and I am liking it already. Not that I was a huge fan of him spending the money on it, but it is fun. My family was here today and they were really working up a sweat trying to play baseball and tennis. It was fun to watch.
We are heading to NYC this week and hopefully will get more Christmas shopping done there. I am looking forward to bringing the kiddos to the big tree and to all the big stores.
We rec'd another bunch of snow yesterday and although it was predicted to be a lot more, it was just what we needed to cover all the wires and plugs on the ground from the Christmas lights and decorations. Although I have yet to buy the kids boots, so we are homebound until probably tomorrow when I head out there and buy them.
