Dance class --- Officially Over!
Anyone with high hopes of attending Ameila's end of the year dance recital can now stop counting the days, Mia has decided that dancing is not for her. Last week we got her dressed, I took her and when they called the kids in, she screamed and cried. Of course, everyone assured me that some kids do this. Of course they want me to believe that, they work there, they want the tuition. So they took her screaming and kicking into the classroom and after about 10 minutes, she was fine and she was singing the Itsy Bitsy spider with the rest of the group.
Well today, I pulled out her tights and new leotard and asked if she wanted to wear black or pink when the protests of "I just want to stay home!" started. She would not get dressed, pure refusal from a 2 year old. So needless to say, we stayed home today and have opted not to go back. Maybe she will be better next year (God at least I hope for preschool). But she is having meltdowns about lots of things including taking walks, go to the library, dance class and even bounce magic, so either she is being stubborn or she just wants to really stay home. Who knows, but I do realize it will be a VERY LONG winter if she keeps this up.
I put a request off from work to Bill the other day. Not from the night job, my day job. Basically since I stay home all day, I need to request a day from Bill because I needed one so badly. So I went to get a pedicure and massage and had the day to myself. Bill took the kids for lunch and to bounce magic and they loved spending the day with him. He even picked Bailey up from school and Bailey was so happy to see daddy.
Speaking of school, my big guy gets to walk up the stairs by himself and get ready for school. On a typical school day, the parents walk them upstairs, to the bathroom after helping them with their coats and then give them a kiss and send them into the classroom. Well, starting Monday, we bring them to the door and these little independent kids will do it all themselves starting from the stairs.
Bill has been working extra hard at work and is even putting in Saturdays to get some stuff done. And he is now one of 3 people in the country picked to work on some IT team within the courts. That's right, he was picked out of the whole country of BAnkruptcy IT workers as one of three. Yeah Bill!
