Well, the holidays have come and gone, and like so many years past, I sit here feeling like I need another week just to recover from the madness. I was overwhelmed when I thought I was well prepared. I made a list, damn it, I made a list, and still I had the last minute trips to the stores and the last minute presents to wrap. But they are over. I am done decking the halls for this year. As a matter of fact, my halls are no longer decked, the decorations came down this weekend.
The kids had a blast, I got the flu, and the new year rang in. We of course, never made it to see the actual ball drop, just the one from last year we recorded and play at 8pm so the kids think it is new years and can head to bed. Bill and I, rather pathetically, went to bed by 11pm.
