The Birthday Party

We had a friends party last year for Mia and have yet to have one for Bailey. Bailey has this funky date of birth where it's at the very beginning of school. So do you have it with the old friends, or the new? Do you wait until October because God know, you don't want to give an invitation the first day of school. Will the kids remember him if we have it in August? So we decided, last year's friends, in August. 12 boys. All around 7 years old.
I called a locally owned movie theater a few weeks ago and explained that my son desperately wanted to see Aliens in the Attic. We wanted to have the party there. They advertise Birthday Parties. Great, right? No. Call back next Monday and we'll tell you if we will be getting that movie. OK. Following Monday, I call and wait what's this? I have to call the following Monday to find out if you will be getting the movie and the movie times... OK. I called this past Monday, talked to the GM. Had to get the birthday party information AGAIN, just to find out that they still have no idea if they will be getting the movie.
"Maybe you can call us back on August 3rd and we will tell you if we have the movie and the times"
"But I want to have the party on August 8th. You mean I have to call 5 days before said party to see if you even have the movie?"
"Do you want me to book this for you?"
"Do you want to tell me what I should put on these birthday invitations? Would I put maybe come see this movie and maybe it will be at this time?"
"Sorry that's all I can tell you..."
"Terrific"
Basically what he's telling me is that I waster 3 weeks for nothing. I could have had this booked at Regal 3 weeks prior and not had to stress about it.
