Easter Shopping

Easter baskets!!!!!! I swear they will be the death of me this year. I went to five million stores to help the Easter bunny along and came out painfully disappointed. Why do we do this to ourselves? Should it really be like a mini Christmas? I think the woman next to me in Target could have easily supplied an entire class with a toy with the amount of things she had in her cart. I am far from excessive and thankfully my children don't know the difference. We don't do too much candy here and here are my top 3 reasons why Number 1 - They get a heck of a lot of candy from everyone else. Number 2 - Amelia is addicted to candy and can't stop. The girl has thrown up twice in her whole life and that has been after a major binge fest of candy. I can see this happening again come Sunday night after all the Easter festivities. Number 3 - I don't feel like giving my children's dentist any more money.
We are on Spring break from school and I laughed out loud to Bill the other day because he thought the kids only had off Thursday Friday and Monday. Little did he know that they have off a week and a half. We have a lot planned though and it is fun when they are both home and we can do things together. Plus I am hoping that we get a temp over 50 degrees next week and we can play outside.
