Kindergarten Orientation
Bailey finally got to meet up with his classmates and we got to meet his new teacher. She seems really nice and I am sure Bailey will love her. There are only 17 kids in his class which is great. I was a little nervous about overcrowding in the classrooms, but they added another kindy class this year because they have 108 kindergartners. A little girl from Bailey's preschool class is in the same kindy class as him, so I think he will do fine. He also found a little boy on his pretend bus ride with the same sneakers as he and so they talked about their first thing in common. We got all the paperwork and the school lunch menu. Boy, do I miss school lunches. Those were the days when $1.00 bought you lunch at the potato bar or the salad bar, turkey slop or pizza. The price hasn't changed much and either have the choices. When is bring your parent to lunch day again?
We are still in the search for a dance class for Mia. Yes, she wants to dance again. Let's hope she makes it for more than 3 classes. I am weighing my options and of course want not to have to pay a HUGE recital fee, because, we never know if she may stick it out.
An exciting even happened today at the Powers residence (or should I say still temporary Powers residence), BAILEY RODE HIS BICYCLE! That is he rode it without training wheels and after a few help outs by dad, he was riding like a champion. A bike rider? Oh my goodness are they growing up!
