Washington D.C. - Day 1
Well we picked up our new digital camera, yesterday. You don't know how spoiled you are with a digital camera until you have to take picture with a disposal film one. The camera is a Kodak Z740 it is very similar to our old Kodak camera, but it has a new lens and a new image processor. After my first day of class I meet Dana, Jill and the kids and we headed down to Union Station so that Bailey could see all of the trains. He was really blow away with how big the main hall of station was. We had dinner there at a pizza place and then we headed over to the monuments.
We had some trouble finding parking but we eventually got over to the World War II monument. That was really impressive. As you can see from the photos it was hard to keep Bailey and Amelia out of the water. It was moving to see all the stars on the wall and the words "Here we mark the price of Freedom". The detail that went into the monument was also very cool to see. We then stated to head down the mall to see the Lincoln memorial, but it was getting dark and all Bailey wanted to do was see President Bush. Well we will have to do the rest another day.
